How DigitalOcean prices its range

The smallest Regular Droplet (512 MiB, 1 vCPU) at $4 a month, then $6, $12, $18 and $24 as memory and CPU rise, with Premium Intel and AMD options above. Every figure is unmanaged: the price buys the machine, and the operating system, web server and updates are yours.

Against the VPS stack's managed plans the entry price is a fraction, and the difference is exactly the management; against the shared hosts' intro prices it is comparable and carries no term.

Common questions

How much does a DigitalOcean Droplet cost?
From $4 a month for the smallest Regular Droplet, billed per second with a monthly cap, by the vendor's own page; larger Droplets rise from there.
Is DigitalOcean managed hosting?
No. The price buys the virtual machine; running it is yours unless you add a managed layer from elsewhere.
Does DigitalOcean have a term or intro price?
Neither; billing is per second with a monthly cap, so the printed monthly figure is the most that instance costs in a month.
